Schubert North America plans new headquarters in Charlotte

The city of Charlotte has now become a hub of headquarters for German businesses in the United States. The list of German companies that have subsidiaries or branch offices in the Charlotte area is long. There are in fact 213 German companies – including Bayer, Lufthansa, Siemens, Thyssen-Krupp and, since 2015, Schubert North America. The Schubert subsidiary manages and grows the company’s business across the continent – and does so very successfully. “The market has developed disproportionately well,” reports Hartmut Siegel, Chief Executive Officer at Schubert North America.
“Fortunately, the pandemic has not slowed down the ongoing development of our product innovations. Demand from our North American customers for state-of-the-art packaging technology with great flexibility and a high degree of automation has been high."

Das neue Areal wäre ein wahrer Glücksgriff: Es liegt direkt an der Autobahn, in Flughafennähe und nicht weit entfernt von der University of North Carolina und dem Central Piedmont Community College. Mit beiden Institutionen pflegt Schubert North America eine enge Partnerschaft. „Unsere Servicemitarbeiter haben alles direkt vor der Tür. Sie können an der Universität sogar nebenberuflich einen Bachelor oder Master absolvieren. Umgekehrt bieten wir Praktikumsplätze für Studenten an", erklärt Hartmut Siegel.

Ein Ausbau der lokalen Servicekompetenz in Kombination mit einer Kapazitätserweiterung für Neumaschinen sind die Ziele dieses Projektes. Schubert North America wird dadurch kundennäher und reaktionsschneller. Hartmut Siegel erzählt: „Erste Kunden wurden bereits über dieses Vorhaben informiert und waren begeistert. Auch die Mitarbeiter freuen sich über diese Weiterentwicklung."
