Internship / Working Student /Bachelor thesis / Master thesis - AI Department Simulation of synthetic data in the Isaac Sim simulation environment for AI-supported image recognition of robots (Human)

We rely on artificial intelligence to continuously improve the performance of our cobots. We use extensive synthetic data for this task. This data enables our robots to recognize objects and determine their position in space. In order to generate better data and make our network more accurate, we will switch to a newer data generator (Isaac Sim from Nvidia) and are looking for a student to help us with this task.

Your tasks with us

  • Gain experience with Isaac Sim to generate synthetic data.
  • Simulate our robot.
  • Rewrite functions of the Blender code for Isaac Sim.
  • In case of an internship, we gladly offer the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor's/Master's thesis afterward.

What you bring

  • Studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, electrical and information technology, mechatronics or a comparable field of study
  • knowledge of Python and Linux
  • Experience with simulation environments is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of English
